ALISHA ALEXANDER

Alisha is a creative entrepreneur, masterful at multi-tasking and prioritizing many projects simultaneously. She’s a Public Relations Pro, writer, editor, web designer, artist, fashion designer, stylist, creative director, and events manager with experience booking, promoting, and managing teams at live fast-paced music and fashion events, as well as managing remote teams.

Her superpowers are storytelling, pitching, creative direction, branding, helping artists & brands gain media attention, and leading by example with tenacity, patience, achieving goals, remaining calm under pressure, and treating others as she wants to be treated. She’s a life-long learner and a go-getter, and the most common thing people tell her is, “You’re inspiring.”

 

She has her own eco-conscious clothing brands, Punk Majesty & Punk Majesty Streetwear, and recently showcased at New York Fashion Week to great response, including mentions in Forbes, Downtown Magazine, Fashion Week Online, One Green Planet, and Beauty News NYC. For 14 years, she’s been the  Publicist & PR Manager for the Largest Rockabilly Music Festival in the World —The Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend. Her work has resulted in vast and consistent media coverage and acknowledgment for the event and its promoter, including coverage on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, the AP, Getty Images, thousands of regional, national, and international websites and publications, as well as The Key to the City of Las Vegas and formal acknowledgments from the Mayor of Las Vegas for multiple years. The event was named “Best Music Festival in Las Vegas” in 2019. She also works with artists and brands and is expanding her PR client base into various lifestyle sectors.

Her 11 years producing and managing busy live music events, and 5 years producing and managing fashion events taught her she thrives under pressure and loves live events!

 

Her 12-year background as a columnist and editor in digital publishing, specializing in arts, music, and fashion events, editing 30 other international writers shaped her into an obsessive proofreader. She can easily adapt between American & British English Writing, AP Style, etc. In 2023, she began freelance writing again for Punktuation! Magazine, covering the Punk Rock Museum opening and a music festival, with more to come.

 

She has a BA in Speech Communications from San Francisco State University and an AA in Visual Communications from The Art Institute of Dallas, as well as many certifications in Social Media and Digital Marketing, Parsons X WWD Fashion Business Essentials & Parsons Streetwear Essentials.

 

She's also a Certified Hair Extension Artist with 17 years of experience with Ultra Glam Hair.
